The second acupressure point to help reduce postpartum depression is ‘Tai Chong’.
It is found on the top of your feet.
To find this point, begin with your index finger between your first and second toe.
Next, trace a line back until you reach the point where the two bones of the toes connect.
Just before the meeting point of the bones is the Tai Chong point.
Push down hard on this point, and continue the pressure while making a circular motion. You want to do 30-50 circles, applying pressure the entire time. Do this on BOTH feet.
The Tai Chong point helps to calm your emotions.
It improves the flow of chi to your liver. This reduces postpartum depression because your liver controls the emotions that cause depression.
Push these points several times a day if you are experiencing regular postpartum depression…

Hello Dr Pauline,
I had an oppurtunity to go thru your manual. Its excellent and informative. But I have some queries which are:
1] I still have my belly fat 2years after my delivery.can the acupressure u suggested help me?
2]If yes, then when it shud be ideally done ?how many times in a day[max no of times],and what shud be the interval after food intake?
3]and if i do it sincerely how long it takes to reduce the belly fat only wth acupressure.
4]As recommended by you,Tai chi has to be practised along wth acupressure. But i havent done taichi so is it advisable to perfom it by watching the video or it should be done under a master?
Awaiting your reply,
thanks,
Regards,
Riya
Hello Riya.
Thank you very much for your questions.
Definitely, acupressure will work for you and help to reduce your belly fat. Acupressure works by increasing the flow of chi throughout your body, specifically to your organs. Weight and fat accumulation are due to the unhealthy functioning of your organs, so when you push your points, you will be fixing the root cause of your fat.
For best results, I recommend pushing your points 3 times a day; upon waking, sometime in the afternoon, and before going to sleep. This should take no more than about 10 minutes in total. (Remember, to do about 30-50 circles for each point). I would suggest doing acupressure when you are not ‘full’. Eating before of after is fine, as long as you are comfortable.
How fast your particular weight and fat come off depends on so many factors. It is different for each women. When your fat does come off with acupressure however, it will stay off! Acupressure is a permanent solution to weight problems.
I’m very happy you are interested in Tai Chi. Of course, I would recommend you finding an instructor or joining a class if you want to get started right away. Otherwise, in the near future, I will be posting step-by-step tai chi tutorials. Stay tuned!
Please feel free to get in touch anytime with questions or comments.
Keep pushing your points
